Commuting
We have always lived on Bukit Timah, so we are really used to the idea of not having to wait very long in traffic to get to town. In the past, I have literally left for meetings 10 minutes before they were scheduled to start and made it in time (we currently live down the road from where Hillcrest Villa is today). And we come from shopping and the movies in 10 mins flat.
Have a look at this map to see how close you are to the next major intersection where a left turn takes you to the PIE (in less than 2 minutes) and a right turn takes you to Holland Village in about 5 minutes. Farrer Road also takes you to the AYE in a matter of minutes thanks to all the new viaducts on the way.

Being the ahead of Watten Estate and Shelford on Bukit Timah Road means that you get dibs on cabs first.
There are a lot of buses that cover the whole island. 3 buses take you to Orchard Road, ending in either the Funan Mall area, Marina Square, or Chinatown. Direct buses are also available to Woodlands, Johore Bahru, Bukit Panjang, Toa Payoh, Hougang, Punggol, Bedok, Katong and Shenton Way.
Schools
Hillcrest Villa is footsteps away from RGPS (Raffles Girls Primary School). You don’t cross any roads to get there. It is also next door to National Junior College (NJC) and Nanyang Girls High School (NYGH), across the road from Hwa Chong Junior College and Chinese High School as well as Nanyang Primary School and minutes away from other schools like Singapore Chinese Girls School (SCGS) and St. Margaret’s School.
Dining & Entertainment
It is literally a 5 min walk to Greenood Ave and its famous restaurants. From some of the freshest seafood to Italian cuisine to the famous Lana Cakes, you’ll be spoilt for choice for a night out. Pop into the car and you’ll be in Holland Village or Dempsey Hill in 5 minutes.
